DESC has been a force for change in southeast Michigan's nonprofit and educational communities for over twenty-five years. What drives DESC is its belief that a strong, healthy, viable community is essential to our region's continued growth and quality of life.
As a catalyst for change, DESC's initiatives are making an impact in our community. As an organization, DESC is unique in that its highly skilled volunteer consultants provide all the services DESC offers the nonprofit and educational communities.
These highly skilled individuals are DESC's "staff"; they provide the hands-on assistance to our clients by sharing their knowledge and giving back to the community. DESC's volunteer consultants are retired or working executives and professionals from the for-profit business community who embody the very best in leadership and management expertise in our community.
DESC's high-quality consulting services rely on the commitment of its volunteers who donate thousands of service hours each year. DESC is able to make a difference because of the volunteers' investment in the community.
