Volunteer Consultant Eligibility

DESC provides high quality consulting services to the nonprofit and educational communities. This is possible because of its extensive pool of volunteer consultants who embody the very best in leadership and management expertise.

These highly skilled individuals are DESC's "staff"; bringing extensive management experience, knowledge and skills they obtained during their years of service in the for-profit business community.

To become a member of the DESC family all volunteers are required to participate in a selection process: submission of an application, in-person interview to determine their qualifications and make a commitment to attend DESC's volunteer training.

DESC consultants typically have 10 or more years of management experience, hold a masters degree, have exceptional general management skills, and often have expertise in a specific area such as marketing, planning or finance.
